I have lived a very long time in this world. I feel like my soul has been gone too long, my heart without its home. I have died again and again and still no death has been as hard as the day you went away. My one regret in my life is that you left me during the hours of the sun.
I don't have a reason to wake up anymore. And so many days the sun has been my suicide note to my existence. I visit you every night in the graveyard and I gather your soil in my hand that becomes a fist that beats down upon your resting body below. My blood tears are all I have to remind me of what I am.
I will never leave your side my love. No matter how many blood tears pool around your grave my head will rest against your heart that beats no more within. I will sleep here with you as long as I can until the sun comes again and I so want to reach out into it and burst into flames so that I can be with you again.
My resolve is that there may be nothing else and I am afraid to lose what I remember to what I do not know. So I dig a hole into the Earth one more time and I lay next to you underneath and I sleep with my hand on your coffin so that you are near me as I close my eyes.
I will never leave your side, in all of these two hundred years you are my heart, my love, my existence. And while your human time took you from me I learned so much more than I have in my immortality because your mortal love was so much more alive and full of sunlight I could never touch. I should have turned you but it was not what you wanted and through tears I fought the sadness that would become this day. Sleep my beautiful one and one day I will have the strength enough to walk in the sun and only hope you will be waiting for me on the other side.
