NA Perfume Description

The last of the Great Pyramids of Giza was the Pyramid of Menkaure, son of Khafre. Menkaure was the Sixth Ruler of the Fourth Dynasty of Egypt’s Old Kingdom. The Pyramid is 1/10th the size of the Pyramid of Khafre and some might say the Giza plateau ran out of room or the cost to continue building such monuments became too much. Whatever the true reasoning is the Pyramid was not completed at the untimely and unexpected death of Menkaure. Later an heir to Menkaure, Shepseskaf, would complete the Pyramid using mudbrick alongside the already placed limestone.

PoM is wonderfully rich in dark amber and the sediment of limestone balanced beautifully with exotic balsam. Tangelo and NA’s white Amber complete the Pyramid of Menkaure.

It is a little known fact that a sarcophagus was found in the burial chamber of the Pyramid of Menkaure in late 19th Centrury. The sarcophagus was within an enormous piece of stone. On the trip back to England the ship sank in Spain. There is a myth that the Queen of the last of the sixth century Pharaohs built the Pyramid. In the 19th Century it was believed that she (Queen Nitocris) would haunt the Pyramid at noon and thus scare the tourists away from Menkaures resting place. Was the sarcophagus ever found? Was Menkaure within that enourmous piece of stone? No one knows. He has yet to be found.
