Noor LE

In Sufism, the Noor is the binding of being to knowledge, much like in Ancient Egyptian Tradition, the KA and the BA (spirit and soul) to our daily lives. Noor translates to light and in the components for this perfume we wanted to transition what that meant from tale to actual light of fruit and floral and touches of things grown with the Love of the Sun. Noor is also the spiritual light, the essence, the soul of a person. It is something we all have within us and when meditated upon, connect with when we feel the answers are not in front of us, but appear when we stop within our lives and seek the wisdom of what we already know.

While NA is not a religious perfume company, we find beauty in things that find beauty within human possibility, be that art, literature, perfume or philosophy.

From the Qur'an, Sura An-Noor 24:35

Allah is the Light (noor) of the heavens and the earth.

The Parable of His Light (noor) is as if there were a Niche

and within it a Lamp (misbah): the Lamp (misbah) enclosed in Glass:

the glass as it were a brilliant star:

Lit from a blessed Tree, an Olive,

neither of the east nor of the west,

whose oil is well-nigh luminous,

though fire scarce touched it:

Light (noor) upon Light (noor)!

God does guide whom He will to His Light (noor):

God does set forth Parables for men: and God does know all things.

There is beauty in all things, especially when we stop to connect our Noor with the light of everything around us, within us and above us.
