Nephthys
NA Perfume Description
Nephthys, daughter of Geb and Nut and sister to Isis and Osiris, sister and wife to Set and Mother to Anubis and a Goddess of Death. She was a member of the Heliopolitan Ennead and played a key role in assisting Isis resurrect Osiris from the Nile after Set murdered him.
As in Pharaoh Tut Ankh Amun's tomb she was one of the four Goddesses to watch over the canopic jars: Neith, Isis, and Selket. Nephthys was a guardian Goddess of the dead and watched over the canopic jar containing the Pharaoh's lungs.
The Goddess Nephthys was the complete opposite of her sister Isis, although they were both inseparable, she helped bring those that passed on into the next life by raising them as was the job of the God Anubis. She assisted in the resurrection into the next realm peacefully and justly.
The Goddess is represented as a woman with a pair of horns and a disk by the symbol of her name. The disk is a ritual to bring back the Sun God every morning and resurrect life again and again.
