All my life I've tried to fill the spaces and the contrast of in-between. The expectations of good and better have overwhelmed me. Inside of me the light is dim and my eyes are shadows of something darker.
Sometimes it is easier to let myself drown in a world full of water and sound.
I am an apparition of perfume in the flowing silk curtains calling from windows. I am an apparition of light in the glow of the moon outside this life. To exist is a liquid of suffocation for me.
If I can, I will. If I could, I would have. My light has gone out and I can't. If I forget everything I've heard I would remember that last evening when I held my breath under the water and love never came to me. I never understood. I never learned to love myself how could I let love in when it meant nothing to me?
Like wine inside a bottle waiting to be drank. Like a whisper with no breath. Like a surface of air I cannot reach. How to live in a world that is not for me and empty of a tender touch.
It was easier for me to drown in liquid suffocation. It was easier.
