It is raining today. The sand smells just like the heated pavement back in the states when it rains. I long for you today unlike any other. I remember staying in the hotel that Sunday when it rained. It was the day after you arrived your very first time in Egypt. We just stayed in bed, read A Room with a View and got room service. Here in this Ancient city I feel the Love that the world has for it. Sitting here in my hotel I look out at the rain falling onto the city, into the Nile that goes through it and I think about all the Temples and Cities, especially in Memphis when you came to visit and I kissed you by the Alabaster Sphinx, right there in front of all the tourists. I remember it fondly. It makes me miss you more today. If you are thinking of me know I am always thinking of you, looking from my room with a view into this beautiful Egyptian city waiting for you to arrive again. You are always and forever in my heart keeping me company even when we are apart.
