Meditation with the Gods: Seshat

NA Perfume Description
Light of Seshat: From her sanctuary in Heliopolis Seshat sat at her writing desk. She had been contemplative for the past few weeks. She put down her writing instrument. Having drawn upon the stars as her meditation for her next creative idea and consciousness for the mortals she had come to a halt in her thoughts. Her seven pointed star sat upon her head as a testament toward the Heavens yet even in that connection toward the above she still had no answer. As she sat she contemplatively looked upon her papyrus at the question she had written. ‘Why do we exist?’ was written. Her own consciousness had taken her to a place where very little knew the existence to, a chamber within the mind where very few have the courage to find within themselves and recognize the truth to all things.
While her companion, Thoth, wrote and taught writing, Seshat had invented it. But what cause and effect can come from writing your thoughts if there is the unequivocal question with no true answer?
Seshat lifted herself from her desk and walked to a window upon the floor and she looked down from the clouds and looked moreso into a home where a family was preparing themselves for sleep. The couple kissed the children and tucked them in. Then they too retired and held each other in their bed. A soft energy lifted from them as they slept, an energy Seshat had not really looked upon before. She did not understand. So she turned into the clouds and within the aura of mist she lowered herself to Earth and whispered her body into their home. Within she saw the cradle of life sleeping and surreptitiously inhaled the energy above them. She felt different. Overwhelmed she renewed her location to the room of the couple. She inhaled but it was different. Much wiser and stronger and willing to understand whereas the children, their energy was innocent.
The God of writing lifted and returned to her room. She lit one of her favourite incense sticks and lay upon the floor where the window looked down toward Earth. She looked at animals, nature, more families and people and she understood in a whole new light that she was not alone to question anything and yet she understood she had every right to question if she needed to. It was that enlightenment brought upon her that made her realize she didn’t have to question why she was but instead understand that she could if she needed to and that she possessed the power to make choices.
In time Seshat returned to her desk and she lifted her writing instrument to the question that sat alone on the papyrus.
“I understand that I don’t have to understand but that I have the power to question and find out on my own terms what answers are right for me. And to answer my question is to not give an answer because I am safe in the knowledge that it will come when I am ready to see it, when I am ready to become it, when I am ready to have the faith in myself to accept it for whatever it may be.”
Then a soft breeze rustled the papyrus and in the doorway to her chamber Thoth stood letting his wings fall beside him. They were cause and effect and therefore knew each others thoughts like no other.
“And what of death?” he asked, “what answers come from death?”
She looked down toward the window in front of her desk and in a whisper she said “Death reminds us to live and not to waste anymore time on too many questions.” She said.
“Except that we have so much power to imagine the stars and yet we have no power to save ourselves from time.” Thoth added.
“Yes great Scribe of words, yes.”
Thoth stepped behind her and wrapped his wings about her and a soft mist of energy hovered above them.
