Eternal Alexandria
NA Perfume Description
Rather than tell you the history of Alexandria I'll let you discover the beauty of this wonderous city when you have a spare moment to peruse the world of Egyptian History. Instead, I'd like to tell you about not only a beautiful city by the Sea but a city with a heart that expands so many regions of the spirit and soul.
I had brought the book Pharos and Pharillon by E.M.Forster, a novelist's sketchbook of Alexandria through the ages. I recommend to anyone before visiting this city.
Taking a ride from Cairo one morning we left for a three hour drive down the long paths in and out of the desert. In between the roads that were next to each other in both directions the government had planted Olive trees. Wonderous site to see especially knowing their significance. I'll let you discover that one on your own as well. Once we arrived we had to go through a check point for obvious reasons. Above us in Greek lettering was Alexandria. Very breath taking thinking at looking at the entrance to the city this giant Arch above us in writing not like the Arabic that was all around Egypt but in Greek. Made me think about Alexander and Cleopatra. Made me think about Love. Made me think about the anxiety of time that is within our blood waiting to take it's last breath.
This is my interpretation of a city where the water is crystaline and the air is pure with a hint of golden sand and the people around are this multi-cultural anomaly of energy unlike anywhere else in Egypt. This is Eternal Alexandria, a scent I am very much in Love with - just like the wonderous city that it is.
NA Sand Note (Papyrus, Vellum and Amber Oils), White Amber, Nokturne:Sapphire (Egyptian Amber Musk) and just a few drops of Egyptian Organic Cardamom.
