“I’ve sat in this café before entertaining myself over and over with many returning cups of ‘licorice tea’. This time I am told over and over by the English in my hotel to have the Caramel Coffee and rave they go on and on. I attest to order another Licorice Tea but I am swayed to the cold this morning in Cairo has brought upon the city. I order the Egyptian Caramel Coffee expecting to have a rich black coffee covered in sugar. I am wrong. Deep coffee infuses the air as it is sat in front of me. Sitting on top of it a stiff foamy peek the colour of caramel and the scent of the Gods. Bringing it closer to my nose I inhale so much more. As it falls down my palette I am rushed full of giddiness and absolution. If there were any affinitive flavour to make a person fuel forward it is this. A positive sense has come across me and I must, without hesitation, return to the dig and find the treasure of lost Pharaohs I have searched my life for. Always move forward no matter what the day brings.”
